Robert "Rob" Bishop (b. July 13, 1951, in Kaysville, UT) is a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from the state of Utah. Bishop represents Utah's 1st Congressional District and was first elected to the House in 2002. Bishop is running for re-election in 2018. After earning his bachelor's from the University of Utah, Bishop taught history and government at the high school level for 28 years. He was also a member of the part-time Utah House of Representatives for 25 years.
